The Dragonfly lamp sets a leaded-glass shade of insect bodies over a bronze base modelled as water plants.
Research published in 2007 identified Clara Driscoll, head of Tiffany Studios' Women's Glass Cutting Department, as the designer behind most of the firm's figurative lamp shades, including the Dragonfly.
Individual examples are variously dated between about 1903 and about 1906.
